If there was anything that made Kelley laugh, it was the faces of people who heard that the twenty two year old singer was married. Other than the people who had been there for the actual wedding and the phase of his high school life where he’d been wrapped around a particular Auden, no one would ever really believe the boy’s words until they saw the wedding band on his finger. He liked surprising people with his fact; it mostly meant to him, it was real. Love had never been something he liked to believe in. he’d always thought of it as a joke, that only people who were never going to end up with anyone in their life believed in. Even now, he could look at couples and know they really didn’t believe in the idea like he had. But now, honestly, whenever he said the words “I love you”, which were actually still scarce even after having been married for three years, he knew he actually did mean it, whereas in the past the only reason he’d ever said it was to humor a girl, or If he was actually feeling sentimental towards his mother, the only other woman who had never given up on him, no matter how much of a screw-up he knew he was. He said it mostly to her though, in the bimonthly calls he made home; explaining how tour was going, how Auden was, if he was okay and hadn’t landed himself in the hospital yet or anything.
The tour was honestly the best thing going on in his life at the moment. When the band had first formed, there had been doubts, naturally, that they would ever make it anywhere other than playing in the basement of one of their houses and playing in run down coffee shops. Now, here they were, in the United States, playing huge venues and meeting a majority of their fan base, no matter how crazy and adoring they were. Right now, just everything seemed to have fallen into place and was going pretty damn good for him. He wasn’t the type that believed in miracles or fate or destiny or any of that bullshit. To him, everything that was going on win his life, he felt he deserved it; he, they as a band, they all earned it. There was a lot that he didn’t believe in, very few things that could get the boy to admit that there was something bigger out there controlling how his life was going right now. Treading carefully and avoiding watching everything crumble around him wasn’t an option.
He hated those days where all he had to do was spend time on the bus, picking fun at Elias and playing guitar hero. There were those days where he couldn’t even be bothered to try and get up to try and move and do something productive. On his days off, he preferred sitting around and relaxing, and right now, that was his plan for the day. Elias was… somewhere. No matter how close the two were, it wasn’t as if they kept a track of each other. Honestly, if you asked Kelley on a random day where Elias was, 90% of the time, he wouldn’t know at all. The boy was such a great friend, yes. But really, it was a surprise that he paid even attention to when elias was actually out. There were only a handful of people Kelley would keep in his mind all the time, actually care to ask where they were, what they were up to. It was just how he worked. However, whenever it came to certain people (such as Auden), the amount of care he had for them was just, surprising.
Speaking of Auden…. Raising an eyebrow as he looked towards the back of the bus, he pushed himself off the couch with some effort. “Hey Auden..?” Biting his lip, he threw his phone on the couch as he wandered towards the back of the bus, the one general area he avoided unless it was to whoop Elias’s ass at Guitar Hero. As he walked past the last row of bunks, he spotted her familiar red hair, and the same smile he had on his face every day appeared on his face slowly. Call him a love-struck puppy, call him pathetic, call him whatever name you wanted. He didn’t care. He had strong feelings, feelings he’d never really felt before for anyone, for this girl. It would be cheesy of him to say every single thing he felt, every single thing he liked about her. He didn’t do cheesy. But it was safe, at least now, to say that there was probably no one who understood him better like she did. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his jeans, he sauntered over in three large steps before plopping down next to her. Throwing an arm casually across her shoulders, he lifted his feet to rest up on the spare small table close by as he pressed his lips against her temple quickly.
“So. Everyone’s gone for the night. I think… I haven’t checked the bunks yet. But, besides the point. It’s just us…
[/b]” Smirking slyly at his own words, he leaned his head against the side of hers, staring down in front of them as he waited for her response. The only thing he’d hated about this touring lifestyle was this; it was harder to get some time alone. It had probably been almost a week or so since they had had some time alone. Between performing, signings, meet and greets, and everything else that came with the touring lifestyle, it was actually a little hard getting one on one time, which bothered him, to be honest. So, he was planning on taking advantage of a potential few hours alone.
